Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects of serum CA 125 in the gynecological patients. Methods Detum CA 125 of 100 cases was determined with radioimmunoassay. Results The levels of serum CA 125 were 641.47~199.49ug/1 in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, After successful cytoreductive surgery and chemotherapy for patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, the CA 125 value was significantly dropped (P0.01). The levels of CA 125 in the patients with endometriosis and adenomyosis are obviously higher than that in the patients with benign tumor and uterine myoma. Conclusion In conjunction with other clinical data including symptoms and signs, serum CA 125 assay is of great help in diagnosis for patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. There was definitive value in diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomyosis by determing serum CA 125 .
