Analysis of drugs and ultrasound-guided puncture on ovarian endometriosis cyst

Abstract

Objective To explore the way of drugs and ultrasound-guided puncture on ovarian endometriosis cyst. Methods 28 cases of ovarian endometriosis cyst (13 cases were recurrence) were treated with drugs; 12 cases treated with Enantone, 8 cases with Danazol and 8 cases with homemade Alarelin. During first 3- month treatment all cysts were conducted with ultrasound-guided aspiration, then the follow-up was taken at the 6th, 12th, 18th month. Results At the 6th month after therapy, the healing rate was 17.9%, the total effective rate was 89.3%, the recurrence rate was 10.7% .At the 12th month, the healing rate was 17.9%, the total effective rate was 85.7%, the cumulative recurrence rate was 14.3%. At the 18th month, the healing rate was 17.9%, the total effective rate was 82.1%, the recurrence rate was 17.9%. After treatment, 3 of 8 infertile women were pregnant, the pregnancy rate was 37.5%. Conclusion Drugs combined with cyst puncture is effective in treating ovarian endometriosis cyst, with a low recurrence rate.
