Out of the eight members in his family (two grandmothers, two grandfathers, a father, a mother, an aunt, and the author himself), six had been fatally harmed by anti-Semites in some form or another; at the same time, there is not a single grave of these six persons close to the author that he could visit and bring flowers to.
