Abstract
This book is designed primarily for those who have an interest in managing the patient with reproductive problems. The contributions have been written by 62 different experts in this field, each of whom has an international reputation in the subject assigned to him. The material has been divided into ten sections. The first three deal with the structural and functional aspects of the female reproductive system. Included are chapters dealing with congenital anomalies of the reproductive system and their surgical management, the endometrial cavity and its relationship to human reproduction, and the ovum transport mechanism. In addition, there are excellent chapters on endometriosis and the ovarian factor. The next section deals with basic reproductive endocrinology. Much stress has been placed on the evaluation and treatment of problems relating to ovulatory defects.
