Abstract
Objective To investigate the levels of leptin in serum and peritoneal fluid in patients of endometriosis with infertility,in order to expore the possible role of leptin in endometriosis. Methods The patients were divided into 2 groups:30 patients with endometriosis(diagnosed by pathology) and infertility(test group);25 patients were without endometriosis(control group). The levels of leptin in serum and peritoneal fluid of 2 groups were detected by radioimmunoassay(RIA).Results Leptin in peritoneal fluid of test group were significantly higherly compared to the control group(4.58±9.36) μg/L,(2.31±8.01) μg/L respectively(P0.01).While the levels of leptin in serum were no significant difference(P0.05) between 2 groups(2.96±1.33) μg/L,(2.57±0.98) μg/L respectively. Conclusion Leptin may be the related factor in the pathogenesis of endomeriosis.
