Investigation of the fessibility of endometrium-reserved operation for uterus adenomyosis

Objective To investigate the fessibility of the endometrium reserved operation for uterus adenomyosis.Methods The endometrium reserved operations were performed on 132 inpatinets for uterus adenomyosis from January of 1997 to December of 2000,which induded the simple endometrioma excavation on 27 cases(20.45%),and the subtotal resection of uterus body with reservation of endometrium over uterus isthmus for 2～2.5cm on 105 cases(79.55%).Results The mean operative time was 82.55 minutes and the average volume of intraoperative bleeding was 80,40ml.The postoperative follow up were made for all the cases.131 cases of dysmenorrhea had been cured and their menstruation became less than before.There was 1 case whose dysmenorrhea recurred two years after operation but the degree of pain was apparently reduced than before.There was another case who was pregnant 14 months after operation and gave birth a healthy boy by cesarean section.Conclusion The endometrium reserved operation is effective for uterus adenomyosis.After the operation,uterus adenomyosis is of less recureence,the endocrine function of uterus and the periodical exfoliation of endometrium are both retained.Also the physiological and psychological balances of these patients can be maintained and the infections of genital track can be prevented.In a word,this operation is a good method for treating uterus adenomyosis.
