Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical value of serum CA125 and PRL in the treatment of adenomyosisby interventional therapy. Methods 26 patients with adenomyosis were underwent with TUAE.Of 26 patients,16belonged to diffuse type, while 10 belonged to focal adenomyosis type.Bilateral uterine aterial embolization withpolyvinyl alcohol particles was carried out in all patients.Serum CA125 and PRL were measured after and before theoperation. Results The mean duration of follow up was 18 months.Improvement of symptoms was obtained in100.0% patients. After the operation serum CA125 and PRL decreased from 110.3 ± 86.4kU/L and 22.1 ± 8.7ng/mL to 38.6 ± 19.9kU/L and 17.4 ± 6.8ng/mL(3 month);35.8 ± 16.7KU/L and 18.1 ± 7.2ng/mL(6 month);26.3± 17.4kU/L and 18.9 ± 6.1ng/mL(12 month)(P0.01).Conclusion Serum CA125 and PRL were the importantindex in appraising effect of TUAE in the treatment of adenomyosis.
