TKI for immunotherapy refractory in MSI-H colorectal cancer: a case report

Abstract Some of metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) patients with MSI-H status do not have robust and lasting benefit from mono-immunotherapy, how to extend the benefit of immunotherapy for those patients is still an urgent problem to be solved. Herein, we reported a MSI-H CRC patient responsed to immunotherapy combined with Fruquintinib after progression of first-line immunotherapy and achieved progression-free survival (PFS) for 20 months. Therefore, anti-angiogenesis Tyrosine-kinase inhibitor (TKI) may be a viable therapeutic option for metastatic colorectal cancer with MSI-H status to revise the resistance of immunotherapy.
