The Clinical analysis of danazol plug on the treatment of EMT

Objective To analyze the effectiveness and side effect of danazol plug on the treatment of EMT.Methods Danazol plug was applied to 64 EMT patients in the period of January 2003 to May 2006.Danazol plug was used at 50mg twice a day within vagina or anal in the first month and once thereafter.40 EMT subjects were applied with danazol capsule at 200mg orally every 8 hours for 3 months.Results The total effectiveness of danazol plug in the 64 EMT patients with vagina or anal application was 93.8%.The effectiveness in the 40 EMT patients treated with oral application was 92.5%.There is no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).The amount of danazol used in the vagina and anal route was 1/12 of the oral group but without obvious side effect and not affecting ovulation.The oral application of danazol has more side effect with amenorrhea than the other group(P0.005).Conclusion Danazol is an efficient and safe drug for the treatment of EMT and worth wide-spread application.
