Given that endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition, and CTI reflects both inflammatory and metabolic status, it may serve as a potential indicator for endometriosis and help identify women at increased cardiovascular risk.. Study design, size, duration This is a case–control study, 153 women with confirmed endometriosis (case group) were compared with 112 women without endometriosis (control group). Participants/materials, setting, methods 153 women with confirmed endometriosis (case group) were compared with 112 women without endometriosis (control group). The groups were matched for age and body mass index (BMI). Blood glucose, lipid profile, C-reactive protein (CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) were measured. The CTI (C-reactive protein–triglyceride–glucose index) was calculated for all participants. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 23, with a significance level of p < 0.05. Main results and the role of chance Mean triglyceride, LDL, and total cholesterol levels were significantly higher in the endometriosis group (p < 0.001). Women with endometriosis also had significantly elevated ESR, CRP, and CTI values (p < 0.001 for all). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis demonstrated that the CTI is a highly accurate biomarker for endometriosis, with an area under the curve (AUC) of 89.99% (95% CI: 85.86–94.13), a sensitivity of 92.3%, and a specificity of 83.9% at a cutoff point of 9.68. Limitations, reasons for caution study was conducted in a single center, which may limit generalizability of results.
