Settlement Patterns and Environmental Adaptation in Traditional Villages of Taihu Lake Basin: A Case Study of East Mountain Peninsula and West Mountain Island

This study investigates the influence of geography and socio-cultural aspects on traditional villages in the Taihu Lake region. It examines how topography, water resources, and climate conditions affect village development, architecture, infrastructure, and agricultural practices. The research also explores the socio-cultural characteristics including religious beliefs, clan culture, and commercial activities that shape community dynamics.
