Abstract

Objective:To explore the regulatory effects of estrogen receptor(ER) and progestogen receptor(PR) in cell proliferation of adenomyosis by detecting the expressions of ER,PR and PCNA in epithelial cells of patients with adenomyosis. Methods:Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression levels of ER,PR and PCNA in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of 36 patients with adenomyosis and normal endometrium of 30 patients without adenomyosis, and their correlation was analyzed. Results:The expression levels of ER and PR in ectopic endometrium were significantly lower than those in eutopic endometrium(P0.05),and the expression levels of ER and PR in ectopic endometrium were significantly higher than those in normal endometrium(P0.05);the expression level PCNA in ectopic endometrium was significantly higher than those in eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium(P0.05);there was a moderate positive correlation between ER expression and PR expression in normal endometrium and eutopic endometrium(P0.05),and there was a positive correlation between ER expression and PCNA expression(P0.05);there was no correlation between ER expression,PR expression and PCNA expression in ectopic endometrium of grade 1 and grade 2(P0.05);in eutopic endometrium, the expression levels of ER,PR and PCNA at proliferative phase were significantly higher than those at secretory phase(P0.05),the expression levels of ER,PR and PCNA in ectopic endometrium had no periodicity(P0.05).Conclusion:In ectopic endometrium of patients with adenomyosis, the expression levels of ER,PR and PCNA have no correlation and periodicity, which indicates that the cell proliferation of ectopic endometrium can't be affected by ovarian hormones to some extent, ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium may have different growth environment and proliferation-differentiation mechanism.
