Abstract

Aim:To investigate the expressions and diagnostic values of CA125 and antibody to transferrin(TFAb)in serum and peritoneal fluid from patients with endometriosis(EMT).Methods:CA125 and TFAb in serum and peritoneal fluid from 52 patients with EMT(25 patients with stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ and 27 patients with stage Ⅲ,Ⅳ)and 40 controls were measured by ELISA.Results:The levels of CA125 in serum and peritoneal fluid from patients with EMT were higher than those in the control group(χ2=21.997 and 45.551,P0.001).The levels of CA125 in serum and peritoneal fluid increased with stage-level rise(P0.05).The positive rates of CA125 and TFAb in serum and peritoneal fluid among the groups were different significantly(χ2=18.945,40.926 and 59.916,59.919,P0.05).The sensitivity and specificity were up to 94.2% and 100.0% respectively when the CA125 combined with TFAb were used to diagnose EMT.Conclusion:CA125 and TFAb levels in serum and peritoneal fluid is useful for EMT diagnosis, and combined determination of CA125 and TFAb in serum or peritoneal fluid can improve the diagnostic accuracy.
