Abstract
Patients age is one of the factors which determines the success of IVF. It is well known that women's ovarial reserve reduces and the quality of oocites worsens with age. At the same time, we cannot underestimate the role of inflamative processes of small pelvis in the pathogenesis of infertility. We had analyzed 63 histories of different aged patients which passed IVF (ICSI) procedure for the treatment of infertility of different etiology. The evaluation of the impact of urogenital infection in anamnesis on the reproductive function and effectiveness of IVF treatment has been made. This analysis showed that in the group of women with advanced reproductive age the effectiveness of IVF is lower. It could be due not only to reduction of ovarial reserve but also to long persistence of urogenital infection and high degree of psychiatric disorders in patients studied groups.
