Clinical efficacy of Mirena for the treatment of adenomyosis patients with dysmenorrhea and increased menstrual volume

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of leftnorgestrel releasing intrauterine system(mirena)for the treatment of adenomyosis patients with dysmenorrhea and increased menstrual volume.Methods A total of 48cases of adenomyosis patients in this hospital were randomly divided into control group(receiving methyl testosterone)and observation group(receiving mirena ring).Dysmenorrhea degree,menstrual volume and rate of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment were compared.Results After treatment,the degree of dysmenorrhea and menstrual volume markedly decreased in the tow groups(P0.05).The degree of improvement in observation group was significantly better than control group(P0.05).No serious adverse reaction was found in the two groups,and the incidence rate of adverse reaction of the two groups were not significantly different(P0.05).Conclusion Mirena might be efficient for the treatment of adenomyosis,could effectively alleviate dysmenorrhea and menstrual volume,and without serious adverse reactions,which might be worthy of widely clinical using.
