Analysis of 2543 infertile women in Huaibei City

Abstract
Objective To investigate the common etiology of female infertile patients in Huaibei City with a retrospective study. Methods Medical files were retrospectively retrieved and analyzed in a total of 2 543 cases. Results Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common cause of primary infertility (253 cases for 31.83%), and 56.44% of secondary infertile females have a history of abortion (811 cases). Conclusion Both endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome are the predominant causes for infertility in Huaibei. For difficult patients, endoscopy offers great benefit for further diagnosis and treatment.
