Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical value of the DMPA in the efficacy and side effects of treatment for endometriosis.Methods:89 cases of endometriosis patients were chosen,treated with hip deep intramuscular injection 150 mg DMPA at the first 1~5 days in the menstrual cycle,and every injection interval was 90±7 days,half a year as a course of treatment to observe dysmenorrhea,tumor size and endocrine changes of patients.Results:The incidence of dysmenorrhea was 92% before medication,then dropped to14% after medication,and the degree of dysmenorrhea reduced significantly. The domains of cysts and nodules detected by B-ultrasound were reduced from 16.23 cm2 and 13.23 cm2 before medication to 4.01 cm2 and 1.62 cm2.Conclusion:DMPA is efficient,safe,cheap,and easy to use,so it is easy to accept for the salaried class.
