Abstract
This study analyzes the dynamics of entrepreneurial activity in the mountain construction sector in Europe, focusing on the years 2021 and 2022, with extrapolation for 2025. Using a quantitative approach, the research adopts a mixed research design that includes both longitudinal and cross-sectional elements. Data were collected from official European sources, primarily Eurostat, and analyzed using advanced statistical techniques, including descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, regression, and factor analysis. The aim of the research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of trends, survival rates, business fluctuations, and employment patterns in mountain construction enterprises. During the analyzed period, the mountain entrepreneurship sector in construction across Europe recorded a moderate increase in the average of most financial and operational indicators (notably a general upward trend, high dispersion, positively skewed distributions, and performance polarization), despite persistently high levels of variation and marked positive skewness, indicating a concentration of performance among a limited number of entities. The results suggest a stable and moderately growing sector, characterized by small-sized enterprises with a steady survival rate and limited expansion. The study provides valuable insights for the formulation of policies aimed at supporting the long-term sustainable development of this sector.
