However, conventional clinical MRI systems (e.g., 1.5T and 3T) are limited in their ability to resolve fine anatomical structures, which has spurred interest in high-field-strength MRI. This study aims to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of 7T MRI in practical application, the methods of optimizing image quality, and the progress in providing high-resolution images of the spinal cord. It also aims to assess the diagnostic capabilities for neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS). Although considerable challenges remain in artifact management and safety, 7T MRI has shown promise in advancing the assessment of spinal cord function. 7T Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Research Progress in Spinal Cord Function Assessment Running Title: The 7T MR used for spinal cord.
