DOMINANT REPRODUCTIVE MOTIVES AND EMOTIONAL STATE CHARACTERISTICS IN WOMEN WITH ENDOMETRIOSIS

In the structure of gynecological morbidity, endometriosis ranks third in prevalence among all gynecological pathologies. The disease leads to both functional and structural changes in the reproductive system, thereby significantly reducing women’s quality of life. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the dominant reproductive motives and emotional state characteristics of 55 women with endometriosis, depending on their motherhood experience. It was determined that the dominant reproductive attitude among women in both groups is “pregnancy for the sake of having a child”. The findings indicate that women without motherhood experience demonstrate more pronounced concerns regarding self-realisation and intra-family relationships, and their emotional state is characterised by higher levels of anxiety, depression and stress. The obtained data explain the need for the introduction of comprehensive psychological support aimed at reproductive attitudes correction and reducing the level of psycho-emotional stress.
