Study on TNFα-238G/A polymorphisnis in patients with endometriosis

Objective To investigate the relationship between tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-238G/A polymorphism and endometriosis. Methods The polymorphism of TNF α-238G/A gene was screened by PCR-RELP. Results The gene frequency of TNFα-238G/A in endometriosis group was as followed:TNF α-238G/A,G/G,A/A genotype frequency:0.9300,0.070,0; TNFα-238 G,TNFα-238 A genefrequency:0.9650,0.0350. The gene frequency of TNFα-238G/A in control group was as followed:TNFα-238G/G,G/A,A/A genotype frequency:0.9500,0.050,0,TNFα-238 G,TNFα-238 A genefrequency:0.9750,0.0250,There were no significant differences in the frequencies of TNFα-238G/A gene between the patients and control group (P0.05). Conclusion No evident association was found between TNFα-238G/A polymorphism and endometriosis.
