Abstract

Endometriosis is a leading cause of pelvic pain and infertility in women. The lesions are commonly on ovaries,peritoneal,and vaginal-rectal pouch. Laparoscopy can both diagnose and treat this disease. Laparoscopic surgery has become the gold standard treatment for ovarian endometriomas. In recent years,there arises a new question of premature ovarian failure among the young women with endometriosis after surgery. The aim of this article was to examine current literature on treatments for endometriosis to prevent premature ovarian failure.
