To what extent is using wind renewable energy justified: The Scientific Environmental Considerations

With the increased awareness of the effects of global warming, there is a large push to start using greener fuel sources to help keep our earth as healthy as possible. As more people decide to look for sustainable energy sources, research is being done on the overall effects of using wind energy as an alternative to fossil fuels. While using renewable sources such as wind energy are certainly ways to generate power with less pollution, those in opposition recognize the effects that these energy sources are having on the environment. While opponents argue that wind energy has a significant negative impact on the environment, proponents have investigated ways to implement practical solutions to many issues brought up with this relatively clean energy source. The question is, is there strong enough scientific evidence to consider the use of wind renewable energy an effective choice?
