Clinical analysis of 514 cases of laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical application of Laparoscopy assisted vaginal hysterectomy(LAVH). Methods Data of 514 cases who underwent LAVH were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were 319 cases of uterine fibroids, 70 cases of adenomyosis, 103 cases of cervical carcinoma in situ, 14 cases of endometrial carcinoma IA period , 4 cases of uterine prolapse and 4 cases turned abdominohysterectomy. There were 67 patients with pelvic adhesion and 217 patients with pelvic surgery history. The uterine volume of 187 cases was more than 12 weeks. The mean time duration of operation was(130.23±22.05) min and mean blood loss during operations was (123.31±50.03) ml. 99.01% of patients exhaust at the first day of postoperative. 95.23% of patients intook liquid in postoperative 6 hours. 97.14% of patients participate the activity 12 hours. Five cases occured operative complication including 1 case of intraoperative bladder injury , 1 case of intraoperative ureteral injury, 2 cases of intestinal canal injury and 1 case of postoperative pelvic hematoma .The average hospitalization time was (5.61±1.82) days. Conclusions LAVH had advantage of small trauma, quicker recovery and expanding the vaginal hysterectomy indications range. The clinical curative effect of LAVH is definite. LAVH is safe and feasible surgery.
