K. M. Alam, S. H. Siddik, Mariya Ferdousi, F. Deeba This is a preprint; it has not been peer reviewed by a journal. https://doi.org/ 10.21203/rs.3.rs-4399669/v1 This work is licensed under a CC BY 4.0 License Status: Posted Version 1 posted You are reading this latest preprint version Abstract This paper aims to establish normative reference values for nerve conduction studies specific to the Bangladeshi population. Data were collected from 258 healthy subjects, who were grouped by age and sex. We examined both motor and sensory nerves in the arms, taking into account factors such as age and sex. The findings of the current study are compared with international data published previously, highlighting significant differences. Normal reference values are presented in the form of the 95th percentile for distal latencies and the 5th percentile for amplitudes and conduction velocities. This study will assist neurophysicians in more accurately diagnosing and treating nerve conditions in Bangladesh.
