Abstract

Ovarian cysts rarely reach enormous dimensions. The giant ones could be get mixed with mesenteric cysts, lymphangioma, local ascites or peritoneal inclusion cysts. We presented a case in which the preoperative evaluations revealed a lymphangioma eventhough the final hystopathological diagnosis was an endometriotic cyst (a type of benign ovarian cyst). Cystic lesions related to gonadal structures should be kept in mind when you’re dealing with giant cystic structures which are encountered rarely as a result of physical and laboratory examination at acute abdomen. The fertility situation and wish of patient should be considered when the treatment algoritm with an interdisciplinary approach are drawn .
