Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the treatment effects of pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) on endometriosis(EMS) in rats. Methods:The successfully built model of EMT rats were divided into PDTC group, leuprorelin (LEU) group and untreated group. The failed model was as negative control group. The size of endometrial explants in each group was measured before and after medication. The expression of interleukin-1 (IL-1) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) in each rat serum was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and the protein level of nuclear factor (NF-kB) in each group was analyzed by SP immunohistochemical method.Results:①The size of endometrial explant in PDTC and LEU group was significantly decreased compare with untreated group, there was significant difference. While there was no statistical difference between the PDTC and LEU group. ② The expression of TNF-α and IL-1β in negative control group was lower than that in untreated group, while which was decreased in PDTC and LEU group. Conclusions:PDTC can significantly decrease the volume of endometrial explant and lower the expression of IL-1β and TNF-α in EMT rat model.
