Assessing Health Status in Endometriosis

Abstract
Endometriosis is one of the most common gynecologic conditions and is associated with distressing symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain (CPP), and dyspareunia. Consequently, researchers often measure pain levels in endometriosis patients, particularly to assess treatment efficacy in clinical studies and randomized controlled trials (RCTs). However, the overall effects on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) have largely been neglected, and there have been few attempts to measure HRQoL using reliable instruments.
