Abstract
Background: The first-line treatment for patients with HER2-negative advanced gastric cancer is mainly chemotherapy. Immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy has achieved encouraging results in many prospective studies, but its real-world efficacy has not yet been fully clarified. The aim of this study was to use independent sample data to explore the efficacy and safety of immunotherapy for patients with HER2-negative gastric cancer. Methods: This study included 59 patients with HER2-negative advanced gastric cancer who received camrelizumab immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone from April 2019 to November 2021. The endpoints were the objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and safety. Conclusion: Compared with simple chemotherapy treatment, camrelizumab combined with chemotherapy for the first-line treatment of HER2-negative advanced gastric cancer has significant clinical benefits without increasing treatment-related complications, and it is safe and feasible.
