Abstract

Objective: To explore the composition and diversity of oral microbiota in patients with Helicobacter pylori associated gastritis (HpAG), and to determine the differences of microbiota between patients with thin white moss and patients with yellow oily moss. Methods: Between September 2021and June 2022, we flew into our study, saliva samples were collected from HC group (healthy control subjects) Hp group (hp-positive thin white moss patients, hp-positive yellow greasy moss patients). The V3-V4 region of 16S rRNA was amplified by PCR. After high-throughput sequencing, the sequencing data were processed for ASV annotation, community structure and diversity analysis. Results: No differences in α diversity were found among the three groups. There were significant differences in the structure of the three groups in β-diversity.ANOSIM test (P = 0.001) showed significant differences between groups. At the phylum level, the relative abundance of Actinobacteriota in HT group was significantly increased, which may be a unique biomarker of Actinobacteriota. At the genus level, the biomarkers of HC group may be Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1 and Escherichia-Shigella.Biomarkers of BT group may be Mycoplasma, Muribaculaceae and Johnsonella. The biomarkers of HT group may be Actinomyces, Atopobium, Lachnoanaerobaculum, Stomatobaculum and Veillonella. Conclusion: There were significant differences in the richness and diversity of salivary microbiota among the three groups.Different bacterial taxa can be used as biomarkers to increase our understanding of the relationship between salivary microbiota and H. pylori associated gastritis.
