This article recounts personal hygiene in Islam amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Islam, practical Muslims throughout the world are expected to have extremely high standards of personal hygiene. This is because Islam places great emphasis on both physical and spiritual cleanliness and purification. While humankind in general usually considers cleanliness to be a pleasing attribute, Islam insists on it. Muslims are required to take care of their personal hygiene by assuring that they are well groomed, and that their bodies, clothing, and surroundings are clean. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the insistence on hygiene becomes even more stricter for Muslims globally, hence the need to undertake this research. And so in the circumstance in which the Prophet Muhammad had regarded cleanliness as a part of faith for all Muslims, the current global pandemic serves as an avenue for practically exhibiting this faith.
