Abstract

This paper contributes to establishing the theoretical background for the new, telematic psychosocial support and accompaniment devices that arose in Argentina during the Covid-19 pandemic. This involves a comprehensive mental health perspective based on human rights, social-community psychology, and Gender approach. Concepts such as telemedicine and accompaniment are elaborated to reflect on this new practice and the difficulties and benefits that may arise. This theoretic work aims to better understand these new devices that arose bottom-up from the practice itself in the face of urgency and emergency.Funding Information: This research did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.Declaration of Interests: The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper.
