Abstract
Objective: To investigate the proliferation of endometrial stromal cells in endometriosis by interleukin-1beta(IL-1β).Methods: The eurotopic endometrial stromal cells of endometriosis cultured within 3~5 passages were treated with IL-1β in a dosage of 0 to 10.0?ng/ml,and then the cell proliferation and the cell cycle were measured by MTT and flow cytometry(FCM) respectively. Results: The endometrial stromal cells had been growing luxuriantly, and G_0/G_1 phase cells were few than G_2/M and S phase cells. Moreover, the proliferation was the most prominent when the cells were incubated in the presence of IL-1β at 1.0?ng/ml concentration for 12 hours. Conclusions: IL-1β induces the proliferation of endometrial stromal cells of endometriosis and promotes the transformation of G_0/G_1 phase cells into G_2/M and S phase.
