Overtreatment and undertreatment of endometriosis

Endometriosis is a frustrating disease.The main treatment includes medical and surgical approaches with an unsatisfied efficacies and a high relapse.For both medical and surgical therapies,there are some degrees of undertreatment or overtreatment.For example,deep infiltrating endometriosis is often underestimated,resulting in incomplete surgery.The undertreatment and overtreatment of endometriosis based on medical and surgical therapies are discussed.
