Abstract

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and once again we can expect to see plenty of reminders that this most common form of cancer affects one in nine women during their lifetimes in the UK (Cancer Research UK, 2008). Hopefully, we will also hear about the variety of advances and promising new therapies for treating this disease.
