This integrative review evaluated the efficacy of various pharmacological treatments for reducing chronic pelvic pain associated with endometriosis. The authors analyzed randomized clinical trials published between 2018 and 2022, selecting eleven studies from the Medline database to assess outcomes related to pain relief and quality of life. The findings indicated that gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonists, didrogesterone, nomegestrol acetate combined with estradiol, combined pills containing dienogeste, and silymarin were all effective in alleviating pain and improving sexual well-being. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically the pharmacological management of pain symptoms associated with the disease.
