Abstract

In this paper, we derive the false position method for solving fuzzy non-linear equations using triangular and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. In particular, two techniques for obtaining the roots of a fuzzy nonlinear equation using a triangular fuzzy number are shown, and the optimal solution is determined by comparing the two methods which are best between them. Included are numerical examples with graphical representations to show the efficacy of the proposed method. Finally, we used this best method to solve fuzzy non-linear equations using trapezoidal fuzzy numbers.
