The article focuses on the problems of the etiology, pathogenesis and assessment of risks of endometrial proliferative processes. In spite of the fact that first descriptions of hyperplastic processes of endometrium in the scientific literature dated back to the 19th century, up to present moment learning of new data on etiology and mechanisms of pathogenesis of this disease is a topical. The key moment is that proliferative processes can be either benign or malignant depending on the morphological picture of the endometrium.
