This study found that Ginseng Decoction significantly improved cure rates and promoted pregnancy hormone secretion in women with adenomyosis and threatened abortion compared to progesterone alone, while also reducing TNF-α.

Abstract
Objective: To study the effect and mechanism of ginseng treatment on qi deficiency and blood stasis type adenomyosis and threatened abortion. Methods: Methods: 160 cases were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group took Ginseng Decoction,1 agent a day,2 times,20 mg progesterone injection intramuscular injection, once a day. The control group took intramuscular injection of 20 mg progesterone injection a day. One treatment course included 7 days and all the two groups should take3 courses of treatment. Results: After treatment, the comparison of cure rate and total effective rate between the two groups had significant differences( P 0. 05). The treatment group's cure rate was significantly better than that of the control group. At 6 weeks of pregnancy, the comparison of β- HCG and P( progesterone) between the two groups had no significant differences( P 0. 05)with the increase of gestational days. At 9 weeks of pregnancy, the comparison of β- HCG and P( progesterone) between the two groups had significant differences( P 0. 05). By the change of pregnancy hormone, the treatment group can promote the secretion of the hormone of pregnancy. The serum TNF- α in the treatment group decreased more obviously and the difference between two groups was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Ginseng can improve immunity and increase the secretion of steroid hormone and inhibit the expression of TNF- α in serum and the effect is significant in treatment of qi deficiency and blood stasis type of adenomyosis and threatened abortion and is worthy of promotion.
