Response to COVID-19 Prospects and Challenges in Virtual Teaching-Learning Activities at the Tertiary Level in Bangladesh

Due to the pandemic COVID-19, all educational institutions have been shuttered since March 18, 2020 in Bangladesh. But academic activities have been offering through virtual platforms. Consequently, the higher education institutions (HEIs) faced manifold challenges, including lack of ICT-enabled infrastructure and training, to offer virtual teaching-learning activities in the country. This study also puts some policy implications, including good governance, professional skills development training, development of ICT-enabled infrastructure, affordable ICT resources both for faculty and students. This paper has been prepared based on primary and secondary data. Moreover, personal experiences and observation have also been accounted to construe the issue.Funding Information: There was no funding to conduct this study.
