Abstract
Abstract Qlaira (estradiol valerate plus dienogest) is the first combined oral contraceptive to gain a licence for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding in women without organic pathology who desire oral contraception. In our New products review Steve Chaplin presents the clinical data relating to its efficacy and adverse events, and Dr Paula Briggs discusses its place in the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding.
