Modeling and Simulation of Seafarer Lifesaving Training Management System Based on HTC VIVE

Abstract
With the normalization of the global epidemic in the post COVID-19 pandemic era, the global economy and trade gradually recover, the demand for shipping is rising . However, marine accidents happen frequently , which have brought heavy economic losses and casualties. In order to cultivate seafarer's emergency ability to deal with maritime accidents, aiming at the shortcomings in current lifesaving practical training, we developed a lifesaving training management system for seafarers. Based on the study of the operation process of lifesaving facilities, the three-dimensional modeling technology is used to build the three-dimensional model of lifesaving facilities; In order to improve the physical reality of ocean wave scene, an ocean wave modeling method based on smooth particle hydrodynamics (SPH) framework is proposed, and a semi-implicit Euler integral scheme with adaptive time step is introduced to solve it; Based on the analysis of human actions, the modeling and animation design of avatar has been studied by using keyframe technology, and A* algorithm; With the help of steam VR, HTC VIVE and Unity 3D, the interactive function of lifesaving facilities are realized; Combined with lighting system and rendering technology, the scene is rendered in real-time, and the lifesaving training management system for seafarer is developed. The system can provide a safer environment for lifesaving training, which will spend less to improve the lifesaving skill of seafarers and get a remarkable achievement. using the system for seafarer training, the training effect shows the system is good and can be applied to practical lifesaving training for seafarer.
