Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical situation, diagnosis, treatment and efficacy. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of 105 patients with adenomyosis(AM). Results The diagnosis rate was 69.5%,misdiagnosis rate was 4.8% and missed diagnosis rate was 25.7%.Period pain and menses were gradually decreased in 23 non-operation treated patients. The relief rate of dysmenorrhea in patients with LNG-IUS after radiofrequency ablation, single treatment with LNG-IUS,and LNG-IUS after adenomyoma resection was 92.3%,80.0% and 91.3%,respectively.Menstrual condition was improved and anemia was cured in all patients. One of the six patients with procreative requirements secured a successful pregnancy and childbirth after treatment. The rate of amenorrhea, pain in breast and nipples and weight increase in patients with single treatment using LNG-IUS was 30.4%,15.2% and 19.5%,respectively.The amenorrhea rate was 92.3% in patients with LNG-IUS after radiofrequency ablation. Conclusion The main reason of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis was the complicated biological behaviour of adenomyosis and no specific diagnosis method was available.Patient′s age, procreative requirement and personal pathogenetic condition should be considered for a reasonable treatment scheme.
