Financial exclusion: a study on non-adoption of mobile banking

Abstract
Mobile banking is considered as a new age in banking, in which banks are investing considerable amount of money to reduce their operational costs. Mobile banking has witnessed significant growth in India after demonetisation and Covid 19 outbreak. But still half of the population in India are excluded from usage of mobile banking as there exist hurdles to the adoption of mobile banking. Hence the present study is with an objective to analyse the perception and barriers for non-adoption of mobile banking. Primary data collected from 59 respondents through questionnaire. The results of the study reveals that the main barriers to adopt mobile banking is security, privacy and awareness and there is an association between gender and barriers for non-adoption of mobile banking.
