Abstract
This study identifies which economic sector of the Philippines was severely hit by economic issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It also tackles what mitigating measures or safety nets were implemented during the height of the pandemic. Moreover, it also discusses how effective the mitigating measures implemented in avoiding the worst-case scenario in the Philippine Economy. It also talks about the future programs implemented for a specific economic sector to have a sustainable and stable economic recovery. This research paper offers a study of the literature on the COVID-19 pandemic's economic consequences on a specific industry and the government regulations and initiatives put in place to lessen such effects. It evaluates how well these actions have solved the pandemic's economic problems and discusses other steps the government should take to ensure the industry's sustained and stable recovery.
