Abstract

Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of transvaginal sonography (TVS) for adenomyosis. Methods Fifty patients with adnomyosis underwent transabdominal sonography (TAS), 23 underwent TVS and color Doppler energy (CDE). TAS and TVS results were compared and analyzed with the surgery and pathology diagnosis. Results Twenty patients' TVS and 23 patients' TAS diagnosis matched the pathology. The diagnostic sensitivity for the two methods was 86.9%, 46%, and the specificity was 97.4% and 96.3% respectively. Thirty one patients' CA125 were 35IU/ml.Conclusion TVS is one of the major evidence for adenomyosis diagnosis. Multiple methods and synthetically analysis can increase the accurate diagnosis for adenomyosis. The diagnostic value of color Dopplor energy needs to be further investigated. [
