Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expressions of IL-17and FoxP-3and endometriosis(EMs). Methods By using immunohistochemistry method, the expressions of IL-17and FoxP-3in ectopic endometrium tissues of 35EMs patients,in eutopic endometrium tissues of 20EMs patients and in normal endometrium tissues of 15women were detected. Results The positive rates of IL-17in ectopic endometrium, eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium were 85.71%(30/35),20.00%(4/20)and 6.67%(1/15),respectively;that of FoxP-3in ectopic endometrium, eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium were 82.86%(29/35),30.00%(6/20)and 46.67%(7/15).The levels of both IL-17and FoxP-3in ectopic endometrium were higher than that in the eutopic and normal endometrium, and the expression of IL-17in eutopic endometrium of EMs patients was higher than that in normal endometrium(χ2=36.32,16.23;P0.05).But the difference of positive FoxP-3expression in between eutopic endometrium of the patients with EMs and normal control was not statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion The overexpressions of IL-17and FoxP-3are likely involved in the occurrence and development of EMs.
