Observation of Efficacy of Xiao Zhengjia Fang on 180 Cases of Chronic Pelvic Inflammation

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Xiao Zhengjia Fang(Formula for removing abdominal masses)on chronic pelvic inflammation.Methods 360 cases of chronic pelvic inflammation were divided randomly into control group and treatment group,180 cases in each one.Metronidazole and penicillin were prescribed in treatment of control group.Self-prepared Xiao Zhangjia Fang was applied in treatment group.Results The total effective rate was 70.56% in control group and was 95.00% in treatment group,indicating significant difference in comparison(P0.01).Of 98 cases in follow-up visit of control group,the recurrence rate was 37.76%.Of 102 cases in follow-up visit of treatment group,the recurrence rate was 13.73%.Significant difference presented in comparison of two groups(P0.01).Conclusion Xiao Zhengjia Fang achieves high curative rate of chronic pelvic inflammation,low recurrence rate and absent toxic side effect.Hence,it deserves to be further promoted.
