Abstract

Abstract Synthesis of Zinc (Zn), cobalt (Co), mixed metal oxide powder was prepared by co-precipitation method of two series A and B. For the preparation of A and B series composition was same such as (i) Zn – 100%, (ii) Zn- 78.4%, Co-21.6%, (iii) Zn – 59.5%, Co -40.5%, (iv) Zn-38.45%, Co-61.55%, (v) Zn-18.05%, Co-81.95%, (vi) Co- 100%). The difference only for A series heated in air atmosphere at 600 0 C for two hours and B series in nitrogen atmosphere at 600 0 C for two hours. The characterization of both series was carried out using SEM for surface morphology, EDS for elemental analysis, XRD (X-ray diffraction) study for structure determination and thermal analysis using TGA, DTA. The electrical conductivity of the both series was studied
