Abstract

Objective:To study the diagnosis and treatment of ureteral endometriosis. Methods:Three cases of ureteral endometriosis were analyzed. In addition, related literatures from Medline and Chinese journals were reviewed. Results:One case was mixed type of ureteral endometriosis. Because the unilateral upper urinary tract was obstructed severely, the patient was given operation of removal of local lesion and end-to-end ureteral anastomosis. Hormone therapy was used after surgery. The other two patients were extrinsic pattern of ureteral endometriosis. After hormone therapy, double J catheter was inserted in one patient. Conclusion:Early detection and prompt treatment of ureteral endometriosis can relieve symptoms, preserve renal function, and improve the prognosis.
